Happiness in a bowl
While I do like to think of myself as a glass half full kind of person I would not exactly say that I am a particular positive or happy person, I know that probably sounds awful, but to be honest I do tend to be quite moody and I definitely posses quite a bit of negativity. Lately I have however been trying to change that and it has been easier than I thought it would be. For me it has been all about finding joy and happiness in the little things in life; like getting to enjoy a beautiful, nutritious breakfast like this, buying fresh flowers, receiving a kind gesture from a stranger etc. – just noticing and appreciating all these little things and remember to be grateful for them has really helped me feel more positive and, dare I say it, it has even made me feel a little bit happier. So if you are up for it I challenge you to write down 3 things everyday that you are thankful for, 3 things that have somehow brought you joy and happiness during the day, no matter how small the things may seem and then you will hopefully start to notice how it might actually brighten your days – it is all about focusing on the positive things in life instead of dwelling on the negative, which admittedly can be quite hard at times, but I hope you will join me and give it a try.
Haha but enough with the rambling, to make this beauty all you have to do is blend 2 bananas, 1.5 cup frozen berries, 1 tablespoon acai powder (optional) and almond milk – I only add just enough for it to blend easily, I do not want it to be too thin when eating it with a spoon. I topped the smoothie bowl with chia seeds, homemade muesli, kiwi, blueberries, raspberries, peach, raw coconut chips and freeze dried raspberry, enjoy! And have a beautiful day my lovelies!
