Raw chocolate mousse with a hint of mint

Homemade chocolate mousse is one of my go-to desserts when I feel the chocolate cravings kicking in, but I don’t want to make something that is too time-consuming. This raw chocolate mousse only takes 2 minutes to make, but it so tasty with a rich chocolate flavor and a hint of mint that adds a little freshness. The best part is that while this dessert looks and tastes super indulgent then it is actually made with all healthy ingredients and no refined sugar! I have made a similar chocolate mousse before – find the recipe here – but this time I added some fresh mint leaves for a little extra flavor kick and I absolutely love how it turned out, chocolate and mint goes so well together!

Ingredients:
1 small frozen banana
1 small avocado
2-3 tablespoons raw cacao (adjust amount to your liking)
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla powder
1/3 cup almond milk
1 small handful fresh mint leaves
Sweetener of choice – I used liquid stevia and a little acacia honey, use agave to make it vegan

Directions:

  1. Simply add all ingredients to a blender and pulse until smooth. Taste it before serving and adjust the sweetness to your liking, it can be a bit bitter so add extra sweetener if needed.
  2. I served mine with chopped dark chocolate on top for a little crunch, enjoy!
