Beet detox juice

I have enjoyed myself a little too much in the last couple of months and I can feel the unhealthy food and partying are starting to take a toll on my body, so it is time to get back on track. I am really looking forward to getting back into a good routine with lots of healthy food and exercise, I have so little energy at the moment and I have sooo much work to do, so I am starting 2016 with a little detox + a kick-ass all healthy january month!
One of my favourite natural ways to detox are with this delicious beet juice – not only because it is so fresh and tasty, but also because of the amazing health benefits found in beets. Did you know that beets are rich in antioxidants, supports detoxification and helps cleanse the liver, has anti inflammatory properties, is high in vitamin k, betaine and calcium and it is also high in Nitrates which improve blood flow throughout the body – including the brain, heart, and muscles – and it lowers blood pressure? Beets are definitely a true superfood and it is perfect to aid in a little detoxification after Christmas and New Years!
Ingredients – 2 small glasses:
2 (large) beets
2 apples (or oranges)
Half a lemon
A thumb of ginger
Simply run the ingredients through a juice and serve right away, enjoy!
