Power juice with red bell pepper, fresh turmeric + much more
This is one of my favorite juices to make during winter to help boost my immune system and help me stay clear of colds and the flu. The red bell pepper and orange is bursting with vitamin C, the carrots contain beta-carotene, which is converted into vitamin A during ingestio, the lemon contains a good amount of vitamin C as well, the ginger and turmeric are anti-inflammatory + so much more! This juice is truly full of so much goodness with so many nutritional- and health benefits that I cannot recommend it enough – and the best part is that it taste amazing as well! Oh and I know it might sound a bit strange that the recipe calls for black pepper, but it is important to add as the pepper helps your body absorb curcumin, which is the active ingredient in turmeric.
1 red bell pepper
Ginger – I used about 10 gram
1/2 – 1 teaspoon ground turmeric (or fresh turmeric)
A dash of ground black pepper
Simply run all the ingredients except for the turmeric (unless you use fresh turmeric) and pepper through the juicer. Stir in the turmeric and black pepper, add ice cubes and serve right away – enjoy!
