Superfood bursting raspberry/vanilla smoothie bowl
Hello lovelies! I am just stopping by to finally share my current favorite smoothie + toppings as promised over on Instagram a couple of days ago. I have been making this exact smoothie bowl with these toppings everyday since I moved into my new apartment, haha I am not really that adventurous when it comes to my breakfast ;) The smoothie and the toppings are absolutely bursting with superfoods and nutrients, I have so many different superfoods lying around and smoothies are the perfect way to use them – especially those kinda yucky tasting powder ones ;) – so I have just been adding a bit of everything to my smoothies lately. The recipe for this one might seem like a bit of a weird combo, but I promise you that it tastes so sweet and delicious, the raspberries and vanilla overpowers the other ingredients, so this pretty much just taste like a big bowl of dessert – so yum!
If you do not have all these superfood ingredients, then you can easily leave some of them out or simply replace them with whatever else you have available. The most important ingredients to make the base of the smoothie are the banana, raspberries, vanilla vegan protein powder and the oat milk, everything else can easily be left out or replaced, enjoy!
1 cup frozen raspberries
1 tablespoon vanilla raw vegan protein powder
1 tablespoon hemp seeds
1 handful goji berries
1 teaspoon wheatgrass powder – I use this one (affiliate link)
Oat milk to blend
Simply add everything to a blender and pulse until smooth. Pour it into a bowl and add your toppings of choice – I topped mine with toasted oats (simply add rolled oats to a tray lined with baking paper and toast the oats for about 10 minutes on 180 c // 350 f. Make a big batch so you have enough for a couple of weeks), chia seeds, almonds, dried mulberries, blueberries and strawberries, so good!
