Soothing chamomile tea with ginger, turmeric and honey

dsc_4902
This soothing chamomile tea loaded with superfoods is my go-to for comfort for my sore throat these days. I first tried this yummy combo at a cafe and I have been making it ever since whenever my throat starts acting up. It is so soothing and filled with goodness from chamomile flowers, ginger, lemon, turmeric and honey – sometimes I even add a little coconut oil as well for it’s antiviral and antibacterial properties.

Make sure to check out my favorite matcha tea latte recipe as well.

Ingredients – 1 cup:
250 mililiter water
2 teaspoons chamomile lose leaf tea or 1 teabag
2 lemon slices
2 slices of ginger (or you can grate it)
A couple slices of fresh turmeric (or you can grate it)
1/2 teaspoon honey

Make sure to adjust the amounts of everything to you liking

Directions:
Simply add everything to a small saucepan and bring the water to a boil. Take it off the heat as soon as it boils and let it steep for 3-5 minutes. I usually run it though a mesh strainer before serving, enjoy!
