Creamy green smoothie bowl with avocado and matcha
Like I have shared before, I am trying to cut a little bit down on my daily sugar intake (fruit included), which means that lately I have mainly been making green smoothies with only very little fruit or nothing at all. I of course still eat fruit (as you can tell from the toppings), to me it is an important part of a healthy diet, but I have noticed that I feel better when I eat a little less fruit (about 2-3 pieces a day, instead of 3-6) and add more healthy fats to my meals instead.
This smoothie is not my favorite flavor wise (gotta be honest here), I still prefer the sweeter ones with more fruit, but it is still so delicious and super creamy because of the added avocado and nut butter, yum!
Oh and as you can see it is also very popular with fur babies like my sister’s little terrorists who came and crashed my little smoothie shoot ;)

75 grams frozen kale*
75 grams frozen cauliflower*
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon matcha – optional
A 1/2 – 1 teaspoon liquid stevia
1 tablespoon nut butter, I prefer peanut butter or almond butter
Oat milk to blend
*I just buy it frozen, but some prefer to buy it fresh, steam it and then freeze it as it is easier on the digestion. Personally I haven’t had any problems whatsoever using it raw though.
Simply add everything to a blender and pulse until smooth. Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy it on its own or into a bowl and top it with granola and fresh fruit and superfoods. Enjoy ♥
