My latest iHerb orders – superfoods, supplements and more + tips & tricks, customs guide and discount code
A lot of you have been asking me if I could show you my latest iHerb orders + share a bit more about the webshop and how everything works, so I have put together a post with everything you need to know. And I would like to make it very clear that this post is not in any way sponsored – haha I wish!
iHerb is one of the world’s largest and most well established online health food stores, they specialize in natural products and have a huge selection of everything for the health-conscious consumer. I first ordered from iHerb last year after seeing Emma Martiny recommending the site, I have know of iHerb for years, but since it is an American webshop and I live in Denmark, then the thought of possibly having to pay customs kinda scared me off. I looked into it though and since most of the things on iHerb is SO much cheaper than in Denmark + you can find products and brands that are not even available here, then it is worth shopping there even though you risk having to pay customs.
I have placed two large orders from the site and I have already planned a third, everything I have ordered have arrived within a week (really fast when shipped from the US) and in perfect condition. They ship with DHLand the cost of shipping goes down the more you order – I only payed 12DKK to have my orders shipped and they were quite huge!
Tips and tricks + discount code
Shopping at iHerb can be a little overwhelming since they have SO many products, but I usually have a list ready with the things that I need and then I simply use the search bar to look them up. When you for example search for maca a lot of products will show up, so make sure to always be as specific as possible – instead of just searching for maca, I instead search for organic maca powder, which makes it a lot easier to find exactly what I need.
I use the product descriptions, reviews from other customers as well as the prices to decide which of the products that I believe to be the best one (open each on a new tab, so you don’t have to go back and forth, it is a lot easier to compare products this way) – I always recommend reading the reviews before buying a product + I always try to compare the iHerb prices to the prices of my local health stores or local webshops where I do not have to pay customs in order to ensure that it is worth buying the products from iHerb.
Make sure you check out the trial items as well before heading for the checkout. You are able to choose one product per order and sometimes there are some really amazing deals! And check their daily deals right here as well!
Oh and you can use the code MIL2933 to get 5% off your entire order – it is an affiliate code, so it benefits me if you use it, but it won’t affect your order other than you saving some $$$ – haha and you help me sponsor my iHerb addiction ♥
Customs, VAT & import fees
When ordering from iHerb from outside the US you can expect that custom fees and taxes might occur. I would advice you to check up on the customs rules and taxes in your country before ordering, so you don’t get any unexpected surprises.
For my fellow Danish residents I can share that when ordering from outside EU you will have to pay an import fee (160DKK) and VAT (moms 25%) on all orders above 80DKK. On orders above 1.150 DKK you will have to pay customs as well – you can calculate how much right here – I always keep my total below this amount in order to avoid paying customs.
I have had to pay import fees and VAT with both my iHerb orders, but not all orders will be intercepted, so you might get lucky and avoid the extra fees.
Now let’s get to the good stuff! I have put together a list with my favorite iHerb products and tried to divide them into different categories to give you guys a better overview. This post is already getting super long, so I am just going to list the products + links for now, but I will do some more thorough posts on the more “exotic” products and their benefits + why I love them very soon. Let me know if there are any of the products you are particularly interested in – I am already working on posts on collagen, chlorophyl and ashwaganda! ♥
