Lovely little things // Girls trip – What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, but what about LA?
Evening lovelies ♥ It is time for another post in my ‘Lovely little things’ series where you normally get little glimpses into my everyday life, but this week I am going to switch it up a little and show you some of my favorite snapshots from our girls trip to Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
Instead of using this post to stop and appreciate the little everyday things in life like I usually do, I am going to use it to enjoy and remember a trip that I had been looking forward to all year – I am sad that it’s over, but I cannot wait for the next adventure! ♥
I don’t really know where to start, Vegas was crazy. We were five friends looking to just let off some steam, destress and just have a good time – hah and let me just say that I think we succeeded! We spent 4 days in Vegas and it involved very little sleep, an insane amount of g&t’s (I think I drank more of those than water), lots of dancing, so much food, strippers, a cancelled Grand Canyon trip, shopping, dying feet (we all wore brand new heels, 0/0 would not recommend), crashing bachelor parties, more strippers and staying up until the sun rose.
We roadtripped from Vegas to Los Angeles in a beautiful big-ass white SUV (shoutout to Hertz for the free upgrade!) that I think we all fell a little bit in love with. The drive was short, but lovely and the views were so much better than we had been told.
Los Angeles was both beautiful and ugly like always. You have to appreciate the stark contrasts, it is what makes the city special. We spent 9 days in LA and they just flew by, I find that I never have enough time there, but that just means that I have to go back again soon right? We spent our days in LA showing the girls our favorite spots + the usual touristy places that are really not that special, but yet I feel like you have to see them. My sister and I have been in LA so many times now that we have our go-to places that are starting to feel like home, I am not sure the girls really understood what we see in these places, but they grow on you and I just can’t help but to come back over and over again.
Our time in LA was one big whirlwind of sightseeing, showing off our favorite spots, shopping, so much amazing food, beaches, partying, Universal Studios, birthday celebrations, being asked about Donald Trump by pretty much every local we met, apparently partying at the same club as Leonardo Dicaprio (?! lowkey would’ve been kinda cool to spot him), being stuck in Ubers and LA traffic, random afterparties in mansions in the Hollywood Hills, witnessing Instagram fashionistas doing piles of blow #cocaína (I would like to say no judgement, but daaaumn girls?!), going to the cinema, hikes, feeling so inspired and recharged, sunburns and dreams of one day finally being able to make the big move over there.
I hope you will enjoy our snapshots from the trip, I love that I now have an online photoalbum with little musings and anecdotes, so I will be able to remember the trip even many years from now ♥
