Chickpea mini pizzas with figs and goat cheese

TGIF! The weekend is finally here! I might be self-employed, but I try to stick to a regular schedule and work hours (except I tend to work until way too late), so a little break is much needed. I had plans to run lots of errands this weekend and take care of all those boring, but necessary things that I always postpone, but I have gotten sick, so I am just going to stay on my couch with lots of blankets, tea and Netflix – doesn’t really sound too bad huh? Any tips and tricks on how to quickly get over a bad cold, sore throat and nausea would be very much appreciated – right now I am counting on my...

Pizza with asparagus, parmesan cheese, scallions and truffle oil

Just like everyone else on this planet (pretty sure this is an accurate number), I absolutely LOVE pizza, but to my great horror I just discovered that while I have shared many pizza recipes on the blog (find them right here!), then they have all been healthified versions! While I love the healthified versions of pizza as well and especially love how they make it possible to have pizza a lot more often, then I just cannot have a foodblog and not have a traditional pizza recipe with a proper crust, I mean come on?! ;) I made the pizza earlier this week and it just turned out so good that I had to share it with you guys! I am absolutely obsessed...

Sweet potato crust mini pizzas – updated

I have found that one of the most important things in life is taking the time out to treat yourself every now and then, even when you are extremely busy and stressed, because that is usually when you need it the most. It does not need to be long, sometimes 15 minutes is enough other times more is needed, but the important thing is that you make time to relax and do something just for you.    This week I have been so tired and stressed out + I’ve been dealing with pain in my back from an old surgery. I didn’t take the time out to deal with it and let my body rest and yet I didn’t really...

Pancake breakfast pizzas

Okay, I might as well just start by saying that no, these do not have much to do with actual pizzas – they are more like a healthy, fruity breakfast version of pizzas, kinda. Haha as you probably have noticed by now I am absolutely awful at abusing food terms, but I just can’t help it – pancake pizzas sounds much better than pancakes topped with a whole bunch of stuff, right?! :D Anyways, I love to eat my pancakes like this since it allows me to just pile on the toppings (in my world there is no such thing at too many toppings!) and I think they look super cute as well, which is always a big plus in my book. I hope you like...

Broccoli crust pizza

I absolutely love pizza and I love to experiment with new healthified versions – like the sweet potato crust pizza I did a while ago – and now it is time for yet another alternative kind of pizza crust – broccoli crust pizza! I stumbled upon the idea on the amazing blog A Tasty Love Story and just knew I had to give it try. I really like how it turned out, so I thought I would share it with you lovelies, just a heads up though – don’t expect the crust to be super crispy, it won’t be, just try to embrace the idea of different kind of pizza :) Oh and I just have to say, I added too little toppings...

Easy everyday food // Baked potatoes with pesto, spicy chickpeas and arugula

Morning lovelies! It is time for another post in my ‘Easy everyday food’ series, where I share super easy meals that I usually find too simple to feature here on the blog. It is those kinds of meals that usually ends up saving the day when I am stressed, tired and strapped for time, so I hope you might find some inspiration in them for those kind of days as well I spent most of last week sick in bed, so I mostly had lots of oatmeal, smoothies and leftover homemade pizza to eat, but I am one of those people who never loses their appetite or love of food when I get sick, so after a while it got boring and I had to switch...

On Wednesdays We Wear Pink

Good afternoon lovelies! Today is just one of those sucky days where the weather is absolutely terrible, I have to do my taxes, my fridge is pretty much empty and I have the worst headache, so I have decided that what this grey Wednesday needs is a whole lotta pink! I mean, you can’t help, but be a little happy when looking at this much pink right?! Haha and I am not even the type to usually wear pink! I got inspired to make the post by Cathrine aka. the woman behind one my favorite blogs Rockpaperdresses, who makes a OWWWP post every single Wednesday – now that’s some serious dedication to the cause! ♥ I have made a little collage with some of...

Smartbake – baking made easy!

Sponsored. This post is made in collaboration with Smartbake.dk Evening lovelies! Today I want to talk about a new baking concept that has pretty much made my entire week. As I have shared many times before, I am very fond of bread, as in I would actually prefer good bread over cake or pastry, but I have also always hated baking. Not the best combo right? I am slowly starting to enjoy baking more, but it will never really be my thing. I have no problem admitting that I am just not that good at it and I probably never will be, because I don’t really enjoy the process and I tend to avoid it if possible. There’s just something about touching the...

Recipes I want to try // Summer edition

Green goddess sweet potato pizza by Vanelja – find the recipe right here! Evening lovelies! It is time for another post where I share some of the mouthwatering recipes that I have come across online and bookmarked, so that I can give them a try as soon as possible! This time it is all about summery recipes that I cannot wait to enjoy out in my garden with friends and family. The recipes are as usual gorgeous, colorful and mostly healthy with a main focus on veggies and fruits, but there’s also room for a little bit of indulgence – I mean it is all about balance right?! Haha and talking about balance, I might be snacking on strawberries and chocolate as I...

Busted! Yes I “cheat” and buy prepped or ready-made food, here’s why

Evening lovelies! Today’s post is going to be a bit different from the usual, but it is something that I have been wanting to discuss for a while and I received a message yesterday that made me a quite angry to be honest, so here we go! ;) Yesterday I shared the above photo on my Instagram and Tumblr, it is photo of a store-bought ready-made breakfast parfait that I bought after a meeting to enjoy on the train on my way home. I was extremely hungry, but the train was so crowded that I didn’t feel like eating it until I got home (hence the extra toppings). The message I received about the photo was very impolite, angry, condescending and preachy. The woman who...

Lovely little things // A new beginning with a bad start

Hello lovelies! I am so sorry about the lack of posts for the last couple of weeks, if you follow me on social media then you already know that I have been moving apartments, which was a lot more stressful and time-consuming that I thought it would be + we both got sick right after we moved in, so I just haven’t had the time or energy to update the blog. The fact that I’ve been MIA for the past couple of weeks only means that I have a lot of good stuff piling up that I cannot wait to share with you and since I am finally starting to feel better you can prepare yourselves to be spammed with posts...

Friday Favorites // Something new

Hello lovelies! As some of you might have noticed I didn’t do a ‘Friday Favorites’ post last week, it wasn’t because I forgot about it, but because I felt like it was time to switch it up and come up with something new. I know I have already changed the content of my ‘Friday Favorites’ once before, but I keep evolving as a blogger and lately I have been wanting to make this more of a lifestyle blog as well. My main focus will always be on food and health, but I just think it would be fun to add a bit of a more personal touch as well. So, from now on my ‘Friday Favorites’ will be all about my...
