Green power juice with wheatgrass

Good afternoon babes! I am still going through my archives for old recipes that are yet to be translated into English and every time I think I am done, then I seem to find another one – so here we go again ;)

This time it is definitely one of the healthier ones, but after the cake I posted the other day, then it is probably a good idea with some greens right? This green power juice with wheat grass is perfect if you are looking for a super easy way to add more greens and veggies to your diet. It is absolutely bursting with nutrients, is super easy to make and it actually tastes great – you know, for a green juice that is ;)

You can find the recipe in Danish right here!

– Yields 2 servings
2 handfuls of kale*
2 handfuls of spinach*
2 celery stalks
1/2 cucumber
A thumb of ginger – adjust the amount to your liking
1/2 organic lemon
4 small florets of broccoli
1 apple
1-2 deciliter (0.4-0.8 cup) water – adjust the amount to your liking
1-2 teaspoons wheat grass powder – optional
I like to add fresh herbs like mint or parsley as well

*one can easily replace the other

Simply run everything though a juicer and you are good to go! I like to start with the leafy greens and herbs and then pack them in with the apple or cucumber and then finish with the water to help flush it through. Enjoy ♥

Juice with fresh turmeric, black pepper, pineapple, yellow beets and more

Juice with fresh turmeric, pineapple, yellow beets and more
This delicious golden juice is made with fresh turmeric, golden beets, sweet pineapple + more of my favorite juice ingredients, it is absolutely bursting with nutrients and has so many amazing health benefits. It is perfect to keep those nasty colds away or to help them go away faster, if you are as lucky as me and have already caught one! ;)

I absolutely love adding fresh turmeric to my juices and food for an extra superfood boost and nutritional benefits. Curcumin, which is the active ingredient in turmeric, has anti inflammatory properties, is a strong antioxidant and it can help prevent alliergies. Furthermore, studies have shown that turmeric potentially can help prevent alzheimers and dementia + it can help repress the growth of cancerous cells. You see why I love this stuff so much right?

Even though it might sound a bit strange, then it is important to add a pinch of black pepper to the juice as it helps the body absorb the curcumin, I promise you will not be able to taste it!

3 yellow beets (regular beets or candy striped beets are fine as well)
15 grams of ginger
30 grams of fresh turmeric
½ lemon
250 grams of pineapple
A pinch of black pepper

Simply add everything except the pepper to a juicer, pour it into a glass, add ice if you’d like and a pinch of pepper. Serve right away, enjoy!

Power juice with red bell pepper, fresh turmeric + much more

Power juice with red bell pepper, turmeric + much more

This is one of my favorite juices to make during winter to help boost my immune system and help me stay clear of colds and the flu. The red bell pepper and orange is bursting with vitamin C, the carrots contain beta-carotene, which is converted into vitamin A during ingestio, the lemon contains a good amount of vitamin C as well, the ginger and turmeric are anti-inflammatory + so much more! This juice is truly full of so much goodness with so many nutritional- and health benefits that I cannot recommend it enough – and the best part is that it taste amazing as well! Oh and I know it might sound a bit strange that the recipe calls for black pepper, but it is important to add as the pepper helps your body absorb curcumin, which is the active ingredient in turmeric.

Power juice with red bell pepper, turmeric + much more

1 red bell pepper
3 carrots
1 orange
1/2 lemon
Ginger – I used about 10 gram
1/2 – 1 teaspoon ground turmeric (or fresh turmeric)
A dash of ground black pepper

Simply run all the ingredients except for the turmeric (unless you use fresh turmeric) and pepper through the juicer. Stir in the turmeric and black pepper, add ice cubes and serve right away – enjoy!

Sunrise detox juice

Sunrise detox juice

My favorite juice at the moment is this sunrise detox juice and not just because it tastes amazing, but because I don’t need to bring out my juicer to make it – haha it is actually really easy to clean, but I’m still super lazy and hate to do it! To make this I just use my little citrus press instead to squeeze a couple of oranges and then I add in my frozen beet cubes for extra nutrients, flavor and to cool the juice – so simple, so good!

Happy New Year lovelies!! I hope 2015 was an amazing year for you and that 2016 will be even better! ❤

I have enjoyed myself a little too much in the last couple of months and I can feel the unhealthy food and partying are starting to take a toll on my body, so it is time to get back on track. I am really looking forward to getting back into a good routine with lots of healthy food and exercise, I have so little energy at the moment and I have sooo much work to do, so I am starting 2016 with a little detox + a kick-ass all healthy january month!

One of my favourite natural ways to detox are with this delicious beet juice – not only because it is so fresh and tasty, but also because of the amazing health benefits found in beets. Did you know that beets are rich in antioxidants, supports detoxification and helps cleanse the liver, has anti inflammatory properties, is high in vitamin k, betaine and calcium and it is also high in Nitrates which improve blood flow throughout the body – including the brain, heart, and muscles – and it lowers blood pressure? Beets are definitely a true superfood and it is perfect to aid in a little detoxification after Christmas and New Years!

Ingredients – 2 small glasses:
2 (large) beets
4 carrots
2 apples (or oranges)
Half a lemon
A thumb of ginger

Simply run the ingredients through a juice and serve right away, enjoy!
